Buying A Hedgehog:

​

Warranties:

Our baby hedgehogs will come with a one year warranty against congenital defects. Congenital defects must be determined as life altering by an experienced exotic veterinarian. See contract for more details. They will also come with a lifetime warranty against WHS. WHS must be determined through a necropsy performed by an experienced exotic veterinarian, see contract for more details. (contract attached at bottom of page)

Return Policy:

If you decide that a hedgehog is not for you please do not hesitate to return the hedgehog to me. There will be NO REFUNDS.

​

Deposits/Payments:

We ask for a $50.00 non-refundable deposit as a down payment when baby is 1 to 2 weeks old. The deposit will hold your baby until s/he is fully weaned. There are absolutely no refunds on deposits of any kind. Once your baby is ready to go home, you will have Seven (7) days to arrange pick up or you will forfeit your initial deposit and your Hedgehog will be put back up for sale.  Once a deposit is placed, you may only change it to another baby that would be available at the same time frame as your original. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.  You MUST schedule an appointment when picking up your Hedgehog.  We will work with you the best we can on times that are convenient to you.  Please understand once we set an appointment, if for some reason you are late, you may incur a late fee that will be added to your Hedgehog.  It is at our sole discretion to charge the late fee which ranges between $5 and up.  Please note this is rare, however protects us from several missed appointments ETC. Final payment of the remaining balance of your hedgehog will need to be paid in cash, credit/debit card or by Cash App at pick up. Checks and money orders are not acceptable forms of payment for any transactions.

Discretion Policy:

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone if for any reason we feel one of our Hedgehogs would not be the best choice for animal companionship for them or their family.

Breeders:

I do not sell my hedgehogs to anyone for breeding purposes. You will sign a legally binding contract upon purchase which will state that you have read and agreed to the policies laid out on this page, including not being allowed breed your hedgehog. If it is found that you have bred your hedgehog without our expressed consent, then we reserve the right to take legal action against you. Please see your contract for more details.

Lineage:

We use Kintracks to track our hedgehogs' lineage. We will allow you to view your hedgehog's specific lineage at your request. Copies of pedigrees will only be furnished to reputable breeders.

Appointment Services:

We reserve the right to disallow anyone from entering our home under any circumstances, for any reason we see fit. 

If you are more than 30 minutes late to an appointment, we reserve the right to charge an additional $5 for your current Price Varies Appointment. If you are more than 30 minutes late to a Free Appointment then we reserve the right to charge you a $5 fee for any additional Free Appointments you may make with us. We have a family and responsibilities aside from our hedgehogs just like you.

Pamper Sessions:

Discretion Policy: 

We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone for any reason. Especially if your hedgehog is extremely grumpy and will not be a good candidate for the nail trimmings, or if your hedgehog appears to us to have any health conditions which we feel could jeopardize the health of our hedgehogs. Please ensure your hedgehog is free from any communicable diseases, viruses, or parasites before bringing them into our home. Our baby and older hedgehogs have weakened immune systems due to their age and are very susceptible to these kinds of things.

Additional Charges:

If you elect the nail trim w/o foot bath and your hedgehog has dirty feet, we reserve the right to charge you instead for the nail trim w/ foot bath option. If you fail to pick your hedgehog up before 6pm after their appointment, when our home will be closed for the day, your hedgehog will be boarded for the night and you will be charged according to that fee schedule. (Please see Boarding Policies below for more information.)

Liability Waiver:

By electing to use our services you agree that you have read the policies set forth on this page and that we are not responsible for any accidental injuries that may occur to you or your hedgehog while on our property, regardless of fault. While we will try our best to treat any injuries with the supplies we have on hand we cannot guarantee a solution. We will ultimately not be held responsible for any further costs or supplies required to treat the injuries, or (in the case of humans) for any money you may lose in regards to the aforementioned injury such as, but not limited to, wages from missed work.

Boarding:

Discretion Policy:

We reserve the right to refuse services to anyone for any reason. Especially if your hedgehog appears to us to have any health conditions which we feel could jeopardize the health of our hedgehogs. Please ensure your hedgehog is free from any communicable diseases, viruses, or parasites before bringing them into our home. Our baby and older hedgehogs have weakened immune systems due to their age and are very susceptible to these kinds of things.

Additional Charges:

If you end up leaving your hedgehog with us for a longer period than what was discussed then we reserve the right to charge you for the additional time your hedgehog spent here, according to our fee schedule, as well as an Inconvenience fee of up to $50 at our discretion. (The price of the Inconvenience fee will depend on your individual circumstances such as if you notified us prior to the agreed upon end of your hedgehogs stay that you would need to extend the visit, as well as things such as how long your hedgehog overstayed their welcome here.)

Abandoned Hedgehogs: 

If your hedgehog is staying with us, and you don't come to pick them up at the agreed upon time and fail to make contact with us for 15 days thereafter, we will assume ownership of the hedgehog and will find a new, more suitable home for your hedgehog. (Note: Any profits made from the rehoming of your hedgehog will be kept as an Inconvenience fee for our rehoming services provided to you.)

We will ultimately not be held responsible for any further costs or supplies required to treat the injuries, or (in the case of humans) for any money you may lose in regards to the aforementioned injury such as, but not limited to, wages from missed work. (If any injuries to your hedgehog occur while they are being boarded you will be notified immediately so that you may make arrangements for your hedgehog's treatment.)

Health Policy:

I have stated this before a couple of times on this page, but it is so important I feel I must say it again. PLEASE ensure your hedgehog is free from any communicable diseases, viruses, or parasites before bringing them into our home. Our baby and older hedgehogs have weakened immune systems due to their age and are very susceptible to these kinds of things. If your hedgehog is found to have any of the above while they are being boarded here, we will contact you immediately and you will have 24 hours to pick up your hedgehog from our home. Your hedgehog will be isolated in a separate room until you pick them up. Failure to pick up your hedgehog after 24 hours in this scenario will constitute in an Inconvenience fee of $50 added to your total.
