Hides

It is strongly recommended to provide your hedgie a hide or a hut to make it feel safe. (Log or pipe type hides smaller than four inches in diameter are not recommended because your hedgie may get stuck in these) You can use a snuggle sack, an igloo, or any other type of hide really that you can find. Hedgehogs are a prey-type creature and do not feel safe if they are always exposed, this can cause them to become stressed out. (Personally I wouldn’t recommend any real wood either, unless it has been properly sealed with a waterproof sealant, as they can, and will, poop and pee on it.)
